First Seek helps you keep chosen apps closed until you take a couple of minutes to pray. This policy explains, plainly, what data the app collects, where it is stored, and the choices you have. If anything here is unclear, write to us at support@firstseek.app.
what we collect
The data First Seek stores
When you use First Seek, we collect only what the app needs to work:
- Your name and email address. These come from Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Google when you create your account. They identify you and tie your progress to your account.
- Your content in the app. This includes your prayer count and streak, prayer requests, community posts, community chat messages, and a profile photo if you add one.
This data is stored on Supabase, which hosts our database and file storage. We do not build advertising profiles from it, and we do not sell it.

Your Screen Time app selections never leave your device
The heart of First Seek is choosing which apps to lock. Those selections are made through Apple’s Family Controls (Screen Time). Apple gives the app only opaque tokens that stand in for the apps you picked — never their names, never a readable list.
Those tokens are held on your device and are meaningful only there. They are never uploaded, never sent to our servers, and never shared with anyone. We could not read which apps you lock even if we wanted to. This is by design, and it is the strongest privacy guarantee in the product.

Who else is involved
We keep the list of outside services short and functional:
- Supabase — hosts our database and file storage, where your account and content live.
- Apple and Google — provide the sign-in you choose when creating your account.
There are no ads, no cross-app tracking, and no sale of your data to anyone.
your rights
Deleting your account and data
You can delete your account and all of the data tied to it from inside the app, at any time: open Settings → Delete account. When you do, your account and the content associated with it are removed from our systems.
Retention. We keep your data only for as long as your account exists. Once you delete the account, the data is deleted too.
children
Not directed to children
First Seek is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with data, contact us and we will remove it.
